Associated Artists

 

Lupine Performance Cooperative is made up of a team of associated artists. An LPC associated artist is one who sees their relationship with the LPC mission and collaboration with other LPC artists as ongoing and open-ended.

Tenara Calem

Cooperative Facilitator

Tenara is an ensemble theater maker, playwright, and educator based in Philadelphia, PA. Born in Israel with deep roots in the Midwest, Tenara has worked as an artist and collaborator with the following organizations: Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Trinity Repertory Company, Pig Iron Theatre Company, Lightning Rod Special, Strange Attractor, Shakespeare in Clark Park, Bread and Puppet Theater, and InterAct Theatre Company.

Krista Thorp

Cooperative Facilitator

Krista Thorp is a stage manager, arts administrator, and theatre educator. She graduated from Bennington College with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with a focus on Theatre Production and Directing in 2015 and has been in Philadelphia ever since. She has worked locally at EgoPo Classic Theater, PAC, Azuka Theatre, The Kimmel Center, Theatre Exile, 1812 Productions, and The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Currently, Krista is the Assistant Director at Mending Spirit: Art for Healing and the Program Director at Yes! And...Collaborative Arts.

Braxton Crewell

Cooperative Facilitator

Braxton is a South Carolina native, graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a B.F.A in Performing Arts. He has worked with the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center and Trinity Repertory Company. He currently works in Marketing and Community Engagement at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Chicago, Illinois. Braxton is devoted to diversity and authenticity of voice. He cultivates spaces where the powerless have voices, and the helpless have support.

Linnea Bond

Linnea makes live performance. She has worked as a devisor on a number of projects, including a piece created in outreach and engagement with veterans and their communities, and a historical meditation on WWI researched in three countries. She has trained with a myriad of new works and classical companies, including the RSC, SITI, and Pig Iron, and acts professionally on both stage and screen. Her MFA is in Acting with an emphasis on New Works and Devising from Ohio State.

Jenny Ruymann

Jenny is a Philadelphia-based writer, performer, and educator, originally hailing from the great state of South Jersey. She is a 2015 graduate from Kenyon College with a degree in Sociology. In her writing, Jenny explores everyday manipulation, connection and its erosion, text messaging, and lesbians.

Sarah Gardner

Sarah likes to make things that she can share with people. Originally from Boise, Idaho, and now living in Philadelphia, Sarah has worked in performance, directing, Shakespeare, children’s theater, dance, burlesque, and puppeteering. She graduated from University of the Arts/Pig Iron Devised Performance Program with her MFA.

Devin Preston

Devin Preston is a performer and interdisciplinary artist based in Philadelphia, PA where he explores the intersection of live performance and game design. He received his MFA in Devised Performance from the University of the Arts / Pig Iron School. Devin also has a BA in Film, Television, and Theatre and a BS in Physics from the University of Notre Dame. Originally from Anchorage, AK, Devin aims to inspire imagination and joy in his work, assuming those are the requisite ingredients for hope and progress.
